Chris Glover was certified at the New Age Center with master teacher Tao Porchon Lynch. She has taught yoga classes and workshops throughout Westchester and Rockland County since 1990. A former professional modern dancer and circus performer, her training includes Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Kripalu techniques. She is an E-RYT 500 and has received Level II Reiki Attunement. She is a certified gymnastic and circus acrobatic instructor. Chris’s lifelong exploration of movement has given her insights into the body as a vehicle, but it was yoga – the connection of all the different aspects of our selves – that completed the connection. It is a blessing to share the joy, light, and peace of yoga with all beings.
The body is the vehicle to understand and direct life on all levels.
Tuesday ALL LEVELS (4:00pm)
Deborah Gorman says, “I wish for my students what I have found – transformation through yoga. Yoga slows us way down, teaches us to pay attention to the moment, helps us find a deep connection to caring and respecting our bodies, the planet and all life. We learn to stretch and strengthen our minds, bodies and hearts and to let go of what no longer serves us. Together, we bring our consciousness to our breathing, warm ups, postures and meditation. In so doing, we will release stress, promote greater spiritual and mental health and awaken to our own light and grace.” Deborah has been teaching for 17 years and is a RYT-500.
Monday GENTLE (9:30 am)
RN, Reiki Master
Donna Beauchamp first took yoga classes in the early 1970s as an antidote to a stressful job as a critical care nurse. Twenty years later, she endured major knee surgery, so she began a search for a style of yoga that would allow her to continue growing in her yoga practice. Lucky for her (and us) she found Kripalu!
Later, Donna studied with Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmonds at the 200 hr and 500 hr levels and also became a certified Reiki Master. Although it was not her original intention to become a teacher, she began leading classes in 2003, specializing in beginner, gentle and chair yoga.
It is especially gratifying to reach people who feel that they cannot do yoga because of physical challenges. Some of the most blessed moments of my life come at the end of classes when I look out at my students’ faces and see the peace and joy that they have found in their practice reflected back at me.
Tuesday GENTLE (7:30 am)

Monday REIKI Circle (7:00 pm) see calendar for specific dates.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki means “spiritually guided life force energy.” It is based on the idea than an unseen life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. It can feel like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. You may feel more relaxed and have a sense of peace, security and well-being.
Alice is also a Registered 200 and 500 hour Yoga teacher since 2002 having studied with Brahmani Liebman and Jashoda Edmonds at The Rivertown Center.
Alice loves sharing Reiki and teaching gentle and chair Yoga to people of all ages.
